Founder and President of Downtown Suites

Nicholas Meyer manages all activities and operations of Downtown Suites, including rental property management and property acquisitions.

Tanja Milosevic
Senior Property Manager

Senior Property Manager, Tanja Milosevic, has been working in the real estate industry and with Downtown Suites Ltd. since 2002, first involved in our short-term furnished portfolio and now focused on our larger long-term unfurnished portfolio. She holds a property management license and is currently studying at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia in the Urban Land Economics program. Her role includes market analysis, rent roll analysis, tenant screening, document execution, inspections, coordinating tenant moves, trouble shooting, dispute resolution, and being the general liaison between tenant and suite owner. With her background also including customer service and legal support in a corporate commercial environment, Tanja is well-suited to take on the challenges of her role.

Lisa Taylor
Leasing Manager

A senior property manager, with over 18 years in the real estate industry – from Vancouver, BC to the Cayman Islands, to Atlanta, Georgia, and recently back home to her native Vancouver. Lisa specializes in leasing residential properties. Her enthusiastic and friendly manner certainly has factored Lisa as one of Vancouver’s top leasing agents. A licensed property manager, her responsibilities include the acquisition and marketing of rental properties; showings; tenant qualifying, application processing and screening; market and rental rate analysis and determination.

Andrea Curtis
Administrative Property Manager

Andrea has worked as an Administrator for Downtown Suites Ltd. since July 2008. Her role includes liaising with tenants and owners. Her pleasant and efficient phone manner will be your first contact with Downtown Suites. Andrea is also licensed as a Rental Property Manager. Previously, Andrea worked as a client service administrator for almost 11 years at a major Financial Planning Company before coming to work with us. Andrea looks forward to continuing her career with the Downtown Suites team.

Corry Buchanan
Property Management Assistant

Corry assists Tanja and Lisa in their duties and is also the repair coordinator for maintenance. She has been in the real estate industry for several years with a prestigious Vancouver Westside realty firm.
Currently enrolled in the Rental Management Licensing program at UBC, Corry will be a fully fledged rental manager soon.

Margaret Olney
Director, Furnished Suites

Margaret Olney currently manages all operations of the furnished rental portfolio, Downtown Accommodations as well as the Kitsilano Garden Suites.

Her enthusiasm for Vancouver and all it has to offer combines well with her interest in people and ensuring their comfort. She gracefully provides a quality experience for all guests at the furnished vacation rental suites. Margaret’s goal is to make sure the client is satisfied and will be a returning guest who refers others because of pleasant stay.

A founding partner in Downtown Suites,  Margaret Olney held a real estate license through the ’80s and ’90s before she went into property management, working beside Nicholas Meyer. Creating a balance in the team as the company moved forward, Margaret has contributed to its stability as it has expanded since its inception, helping to grow the company and all that it stands for.

In addition to travelling extensively, Margaret is involved in yoga, biking, kayaking, golf and gardening. As another area of interest, she will soon graduate in the Integrated Energy Healing Program through Langara College. She grew up in Vancouver, and is a Graduate of UBC in Psychology.

Homa Pashaye
Financial Controller

Homa has a management certificate in financial accounting and has been with our firm since 1990. Homa has set up all the accounting systems and takes charge of all of the non resident owners accounts for their annual filing. Homa is committed to providing close, personal attention to all our accounting needs. Ivy Wang
Accounting

Ivy has managed the day to day accounts of Downtown Suites for over five years. Her meticulous attention to detail and excellent work ethic have made her a very valuable part of the Team. Ivy has a deep understanding of the management of property. Ivy also has a very sharp pencil and takes great care of every financial detail, including double checking all invoices and matching them to purchase orders to ensure that our clients receive fair value. She organizes and pays our owners every month. In addition to her Canadian Accounts training, Ivy holds a degree from University of Schezuan Normal University in China and was a University lecturer in her former life at South West Normal University in China.
