Nicholas Meyer chose to base his Downtown Suites business in Vancouver, a multicultural city that features unparalleled beauty, financial stability, and recreational opportunities. Nicholas understands the local market and its economic trends to ensure that you maximize your rental investment income. His thorough and intensive knowledge of the buildings in the downtown core, coupled with his indispensable experience chairing or serving on various Strata corporations, enables him to be well qualified to look after your condo investment. In addition, Nicholas will help clients with acquisition and disposition of properties. Our rates are competitive and offer full MLS exposure and network with realtors.

Originally from London, Nicholas left the UK to travel the globe, visiting more than 65 countries over the years. His extensive travel developed a good understanding of other cultures and customs, enabling him to relate well with his diverse international clients and tenants.  His genuine interest in helping people combines with an intercultural understanding. Nicholas has the ability to easily and clearly communicate with a wide range of clients from different walks of life and cultural backgrounds.

Living in Vancouver for many years now, he enjoys all forms of cycling, including off road on the wonderful trails in BC (he has 4 different bicycles, including his original 10 speed!) Nicholas has recently returned to playing the cello, has an interest in foreign language and has for many years practiced yoga and meditation. He is also an advocate for animal rights and organic healthy whole foods.

Nicholas is a longtime member of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. He has also been accepted as a member of both the Real Estate Institutes of B.C. and Canada, F.R.I., R.I. (B.C.) In addition, he holds diplomas in Urban Land Economics, specializing in Appraisal (UBC), and Hotel Management (BCIT).




Margaret Olney currently manages all operations of the furnished rental portfolio, Downtown Accommodations as well as the Kitsilano Garden Suites. Her enthusiasm for Vancouver and all it has to offer combines well with her interest in people and ensuring their comfort. She gracefully provides a quality experience for all guests at the furnished vacation rental suites. Margaret’s goal is to make sure the client is satisfied and will be a returning guest who refers others because of pleasant stay. A founding partner in Downtown Suites, Margaret Olney held a real estate license through the ’80s and ’90s before she went into property management, working beside Nicholas Meyer. Creating a balance in the team as the company moved forward, Margaret has contributed to its stability as it has expanded since its inception, helping to grow the company and all that it stands for. In addition to travelling extensively, Margaret is involved in yoga, biking, kayaking, golf and gardening. As another area of interest, she graduated in the Integrated Energy Healing Program through Langara College. She grew up in Vancouver, and is a Graduate of UBC in Psychology. Senior Property Manager

Lisa has over 20 years’ experience in the property management industry and is our Senior Property and Leasing Manager.  From Vancouver, BC to the Cayman Islands, to Atlanta, Georgia, and back home to her native Vancouver. Lisa specializes in leasing residential properties. Her enthusiastic and friendly manner certainly has factored Lisa as one of Vancouver’s top leasing agents. A licensed property manager, her responsibilities include overseeing the management team, the acquisition and marketing of rental properties; market and rental rate analysis and determination.  If you are contemplating having your suite rented and managed, Lisa will be happy to assist you.



Property Manager

Naomi Johnson is a licensed Property Manager who has spent many years in the Real  Estate Industry.  Naomi’s duties include responsibility for all annual and move out inspections.  In addition, Naomi is responsible for the administrative details, including tenant qualifying, application processing, and screening.




Amanda, our Office Administrator, has over 12 years of customer service experience and a Computer Business Applications Diploma from CDI College in Burnaby. Having studied Administrative Property Management, Amanda assists the licensed property managers and liaises with tenants, owners and trades as our repair coordinator.



Property Management Assistant & Photographer

Theresa has been a part of our team since 2009 and assists the PM team by taking all the photographs for the suites for rent and assists with showings and assorted tasks in the field.



Administrative Assistant

We are pleased to have Mikaela’s friendly and enthusiastic personality at our reception desk. She will be your first point of contact when you visit or telephone our office.



Financial Controller

In addition to her Master degrees from London University, England, Homa has a management certificate in financial accounting and has been consulting for our firm since 1990. Homa has set up all the accounting systems and takes charge of all of the non-resident owners accounts for their annual filing. Her assistance comes from years of training and technical experience, and we take pride in having her on our team.

Homa is committed to providing close, personal attention to all our accounting needs and in addition provides income tax filing for our non-resident clients as required.

Senior Acountant

Julie has over 20 years’ experience in accounting. Originally from Beijing, China, Julie has been in Canada for over 14 years. Julie majored in accounting at University in Beijing and received her Bachelor’s degree, in addition in Canada, Julie took accounting at V.C.C. Julie is our Senior Accountant and is responsible for the full accounting cycle at Downtown Suites Ltd. Julie is fluent in Mandarin and English and is happy to speak with our Chinese clients.

I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday. Your handyman was great, he came by while I was at work and then checked back with me once I was home. He even came by again to make sure it was fixed properly. Turns out it was a hose in the back of the tank that broke loose, it’s fine now. So thank you and thanks to your handyman!
Thank you for your expert and conscientious professionalism in locating the perfect “temporary” home for me. You realized that time was of the essence for me, and you acted accordingly. The suite you found, negotiated and rented me was in an absolute shambles, however, you walked me through how things would look once these issues were taken care of. In this regard you also excelled. The paint colour you chose, the handymen you brought in to repair and clean the suite were excellent. Thanks again for helping me. I have been using Nicholas’ services since 1988, first as a realtor and later as a rental suite manager.
